India Development Map: Urbanization Trends and Smart City Development

In April 2023, India surpassed China as the most populated country with over 1.4 billion people. LAIA aims to advance smarter urbanization in India by integrating cutting-edge technology with the built environment. As we expand into Bengaluru, our decision was guided by two critical factors:
📊 GDP per Capita: This metric provides insight into regional economic activity, consumer behavior, and the readiness for adopting innovative solutions.
🏗 Newly Planned Developments: Mapping major urban projects allows us to align with areas undergoing significant transformation.
India’s development patterns reveal a divide between the north, dominated by Delhi, and the south, which features a more distributed growth trajectory. This positions Bengaluru — and LAIA Innovation — at the heart of one of the most dynamic and rapidly evolving regions in the country.
Our strategic location enables us to collaborate closely with partners, shaping a future-ready urban landscape in India.
